Here Aphrodite sits with her magical girdle wound around her hand (said to be infused with the irresistible powers of desire and love!), accompanied by her hare, which is one of her sacred animals due to its high rate of procreation. Her playful hare wears a pearl earring (pearls are associate with Aphrodite as the stone of love).
